Terms and Conditions

Reservations of accommodation are accepted at Drumaneir Self-Catering Cottage subject to the following Terms and Conditions of Hire

Contract

This accommodation is let for holiday purposes as in paragraph 9 of the First Schedule to the Housing Act 1988. Guests have no right of occupancy beyond the stated and agreed period. All bookings form a contract between the Hirer and the Property Owners.

Payment

A deposit must be paid in order to reserve all bookings
Damage and Additional Cleaning
All guest bookings are accepted on the condition that the property is left in the same state of repair, order and cleanliness as it was on guest’s arrival, both inside and outside – an additional charge of £30 will be issued if this is not the case.
It is agreed that the person who made the booking will be liable for any breakages, damage or additional cleaning charges, if these are required. All breakages should be reported to the management and any minor damage should be noted in writing at the end of the stay.

Sleeping Capacity

The maximum number of guests permitted is as stated in the accommodation description on this site. Any extra persons cannot be accommodated.

Availability

The Hiring Contract is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities, as published on this site, will be available on the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available, due to events arising out of the owner’s control, they may be forced to cancel the booking. The hirer will be advised of any such circumstances at the earliest date possible, and will be refunded all monies paid in full with the hirer having no further claim against the owner.

Occupation Times

Tenancies commence after 5pm (unless otherwise agreed) and terminate at 11am on the leaving date, in order to allow for full cleaning and checks of the house/contents before the arrival of the next guests. If you arrive earlier than this and the house is not yet ready, you are welcome to leave any luggage and food.
Breakage Deposit
The owners reserve the right to impose a returnable cleaning/breakage deposit of £100 – which is to be returned in part or full within seven days of the end of guest’s stay.

Access to Property

The property owner or his representatives shall be permitted access to the accommodation at any reasonable time during holiday occupancies.

Special Needs

If you have special requests or needs we ask that you advise us of these at the time of booking, however, please note that we cannot guarantee that these requests will be met. Failure to meet such special requests will not be a breach of contract. It is the responsibility of customers to satisfy themselves that the property is completely suitable for their needs before booking. We ask customers to note that if a particular facility is not specified on this website then it is not provided.

Vehicles and Personal Belongings

Luggage and personal belongings are at the hirer’s risk at all times, no responsibility can be accepted for any damage to, or loss of, any vehicles or their contents.

BBQ House

There is a one off charge of £20 for persons wishing to use the BBQ house. This amount covers use of these facilities for the duration of the stay.

Bed Linen

Bed linen, cot bedding and towels are provided for guests.

Safety

To ensure the safety of all our guests we ask that you read through the safety guide included in the house book in each apartment on your arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Following payment of a deposit or balance, all cancellations are subject to an administration fee of £20. If, for any reason, a cancellation occurs within 42 days of the start of the holiday, customers should advise us immediately by either telephone or e-mail followed by a confirmation letter/email. On receipt of this confirmation (but without any obligation to the hirer) Drumaneir Cottage will attempt to obtain a replacement letting and if such a letting is obtained any monies paid, less the administration fee, will then be refunded to the hirer. If the agents are unable to re-let, then the agents are entitled to retain all payments already made. In the event of balance of rental payments not being made by the due date, and there has been no request for additional payment time by this date, the holiday week will be re-advertised and no refund of the deposit will be given. To cover such an eventuality, we advise guests to arrange cancellation insurance with the insurer of your choice.

Complaints

Every effort has been made to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay with us. If you do have any cause for complaint, however, please contact the management immediately so any such issues can be resolved quickly for you. We cannot subsequently consider any complaints, or enter into any correspondence about them, unless this procedure has been followed.

Breach of Contract

In the event of a material breach of any of these conditions by the guest or any of their party, the owners or agents reserve the right to re-enter the property, and/or end the letting and require the guest and their party to leave immediately without refund.
